Leslie Gordon is an Atlanta-based speech and accent coach. She works with range of professionals in higher education, business, and other sectors, and with individuals pursuing enhanced speaking skills or accent modification. She has also coached actors for television and online/video formats.

Leslie holds a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Georgetown University, with a specialization in the acquisition of L2 phonological perception. She is fluent in Spanish (ACTFL “Superior” Speaker), an advanced speaker of Portuguese, and has intermediate skills in other languages.

Leslie has been a faculty member at Washington and Lee University and the University of Georgia. She has taught courses in Spanish Phonetics and Hispanic Linguistics as well as other special topics courses and modules in the U.S. and Europe. Leslie has published articles on such topics as L2 vowel perception, effects of high-impact pedagogies on L2 pronunciation, adult cohort learning, faculty development initiatives, and more.

She is a member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association and the National Speaker Association / Georgia Elite Chapter (Board Member 2023-24).
