JUST ADDED: DISTANCE OPTION! AFTER THE SUCCESS OF OUR WEB-BASED OPTIONS FOR THE RECENT CELTIC AND LONDON ACCENT INTENSIVES, WE’VE DECIDED TO OFFER THE PHONETICS INTENSIVE VIA LIVE-STREAMING WEBINAR AS WELL!
Unlike the ‘pajama’ option for the Accent Intensives, the distance course for the Phonetics Intensive will be fully participatory (or at least, as fully participatory as we can manage to make it). Take your knowledge of the IPA, your phonetic transcription skills, and your perceptions of articulatory action to the next level with fun, in-depth, and engaging exercises with talented and passionate colleagues!
Come and join Master Teacher Erik Singer for a Phonetics Intensive at the National Opera Center in New York City from April 10th-12th, 2015. (N.B. This is the last Phonetics Intensive before the 2015 Certification Program. The Phonetics Intensive is a PRE-REQUISITE for the Teacher Certification course**.)

Please note that Experiencing Speech or equivalent broadly-based training in the IPA is a prerequisite for the Phonetics Intensive.
The workshop will be held at the National Opera Center in Chelsea, Manhattan. The days will run from 10:00 to 6:00, with an hour break for lunch. Sunday’s session will end at 5:00 to accommodate travel home. The total cost for the workshop is $400. Spots are strictly limited.

**Prospective applicants for the Teacher Certification Program may choose to try to “test-out” of this requirement. There is a non-refundable $75 fee for taking the test. Taking the test is no guarantee of successfully testing out.
Workshop Costs
$400
In order to plan effectively for these workshops, it’s important to have a clear sense of the commitment of potential participants. For that reason we ask for a deposit of $100 to secure your place in the workshop. This is due six weeks prior to the start of the workshop. The full payment is due three weeks prior to the start of the workshop, on March 20th. If your plans change, and you are unable to attend, we will refund any payment less $75 if you inform us by April 3rd. After that date, however, no refunds are possible. Please plan accordingly.
