SUMMARY:PHONETICS INTENSIVE #22 Online
DESCRIPTION:A Three-Day Online Intensive in Phonetic Transcription\nWith Master Teachers Andrea Caban & Tyler Seiple\nMay 19th-21st\, 2023\, 8:00am-3:00pm Pacific Time. \nThere will be a daily meal break from 11:00am to 12:00pm Pacific. \nThis course will be online only. All documents and audio materials will be shared through an online platform. All sessions will be recorded and shared with participants. \n\nClick here for a full description of our Phonetics Intensive workshops. The full registration fee is $450 USD. \nPlease note that Experiencing Speech is a prerequisite for the Phonetics Intensive. \n*If you have already taken the Phonetics Intensive and are interested in re-taking it\, add your name to the “re-taker” waitlist here. We will contact you two weeks prior to the start of the workshop to let you know if there is space for you. \n\nDeadlines\n\nIn order to plan effectively for these workshops\, it’s important to have a clear sense of the commitment of potential participants. For that reason we ask for a deposit of $100 USD to secure your place in the workshop. This is due six weeks prior to the start of the workshop\, on April 7th\, 2023. The full payment is due three weeks prior to the start of the workshop\, on April 28th\, 2023. If your plans change\, and you are unable to attend\, we will refund any payment less $75 USD if you inform us by May 5th\, 2023. After that date\, however\, no refunds are possible. Please plan accordingly.

DESCRIPTION:On an ideal on-site coaching assignment\, one has all the time they need to work with the actors.  However\, this is not always the reality.  When time is of the essence\, how does one optimize their session to achieve results?  Participants will explore these strategies using a variety of methods based in connection and play. \n\n\n\nOn Sunday\, 21st of May at 10am PST/1pm EST/6pm GMT.  \n\n\n\nTo convert this meeting to your time zone\, click here. \n\n\n\nRegistration for this webinar will be $10. All registrants will also receive the recording and post-webinar survey after the meeting has ended and been processed. \n\n\n\nIf you have any questions about this space\, please contact ktswebinars@gmail.com. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJeffrey Parker (he/him) is a Professor of Theatre at Metropolitan State University of Denver\, where he oversees the Voice and Speech program.  Jeffrey has been madly in love with KTS since the embryonic days of 2005\, when he studied under Phil Thompson at UC Irvine.  In addition to his KTS certification (2017)\, he is also certified as an Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework (2008).  Jeffrey serves as the Director of Voice and Text for the Colorado Shakespeare Festival and as a Teaching Artist / Dialect Coach for the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Once in a while he steps onto the stage as an actor\, singer\, and improviser.  Jeffrey co-wrote Experiencing Speech: A Skills-Based\, Panlingual Guide to Actor Training with Andrea Caban and Julie Foh.
