DESCRIPTION:Registration for PHONETICS ON-RAMP #1 is currently closed. Click here to put your name on the waitlist.\nA Three-Day Online Not-So-Intensive in Phonetic Transcription\nWith KTS Teachers Andrea Caban & Nathan Crocker\nJune 11th-13th\, 2021\, 8:00am-3:00pm Pacific Time. \nThere will be a daily meal break from 11:00am to 12:00pm Pacific. \nThe Phonetics On-Ramp is a shame-free\, beginner’s guide to learning and teaching phonetics through play\, gesture\, and community skill-building. Open to anyone who has taken Experiencing Speech\, this workshop is designed to fit between Experiencing Speech and the Phonetics Intensive for those who consider themselves novice phonetics users\, and at anytime for more advanced users interested in investigated new teaching strategies for phonetics in a KTS-inspired arc of speech and accent training. \nThis course will be online only. All documents and audio materials will be shared through an online platform. All sessions will be recorded and shared with participants. \n\nEarly Bird Registration at $350 USD is available through April 30th\, 2021. The full registration fee is $400 USD. \nPlease note that Experiencing Speech is a prerequisite for this workshop. \n\nDeadlines\n\nIn order to plan effectively for these workshops\, it’s important to have a clear sense of the commitment of potential participants. For that reason we ask for a deposit of $100 USD to secure your place in the workshop. This is due six weeks prior to the start of the workshop\, on April 30th\, 2021. The full payment is due three weeks prior to the start of the workshop\, on May 21st\, 2021. If your plans change\, and you are unable to attend\, we will refund any payment less $75 USD if you inform us by May 28th\, 2021. After that date\, however\, no refunds are possible.
